If you're looking for a hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates the charm of a cozy cafe, look no further than Fika Kitchen, located at West House Farm in the picturesque village of Chilton Polden, Bridgwater. This delightful eatery goes beyond just serving food; it offers a community haven where locals and visitors alike can unwind and recharge.

The ethos of Fika Kitchen revolves around locally-sourced ingredients, and every dish on their menu reflects this commitment to quality and sustainability. With offerings like the Toasted Bagel and the renowned Salmon Bagel—highlighted by customer reviews as a taste sensation—Fika ensures each bite is a celebration of fresh flavors. Don’t miss out on the absolutely mouthwatering Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, crowned with a vibrant slaw, that warms the soul and delights the taste buds.

The coffee selection is just as impressive, featuring expertly crafted beverages such as the Cappuccino and the Signature Hot Chocolate, a true treat for the chocolate lovers among us. As one patron, Fran U, enthusiastically noted, the coffee is served in generously sized mugs, making each sip a comforting experience. The cafe also offers an array of sweet temptations, including freshly baked cakes that one customer described as 'outstanding'—a testament to the skill and passion of the kitchen team.

But Fika Kitchen is not just about great food and drinks; it’s a place where families and friends can gather in an inviting atmosphere. Ashleigh Rodd highlights how rare it is to find a cafe that welcomes children with open arms, making it a perfect spot for a family outing. With friendly staff, including the approachable owner, Hannah, the service adds to the warm and welcoming vibe that envelops you the moment you walk through the door.

Whether you're enjoying a leisurely breakfast or a quick pick-me-up, Fika Kitchen offers a relaxing backdrop to your caffeine fix and culinary indulgence. Take the time to immerse yourself in the delightful experience it provides, and make sure to engage with the surrounding farm's lovely animals after your meal—a unique touch that rounds out your visit. This is more than just a cafe; it's a celebration of community, culture, and culinary excellence.

In a world brimming with chain coffee shops and generic eateries, Fika Kitchen stands out as a testament to what a locally-focused cafe can achieve. So, if you're passing through Bridgwater or are lucky enough to live in the area, make sure to stop by and savor the delicious offerings that await you!

A lovely cafe - the atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful and the food is fab! Excellent coffee drinks and super nice staff. Check the opening times and days to avoid disappointment, but if you’re in the area, don’t miss Fika.

I've been here a few times already and I've always been really impressed with the quality of the food, the portion sizes, the staff etc But today was just on another level, the menu changes often but I had the salmon bagel and it was just the most elevated salmon bagel I've had. Also the cookie bar ??? How is this thing legal ?? Too delicious to be true, kept my eyes closed during the whole thing. Terrible sight for the people that were with me but amazing experience for me. Thank you so much for making my day even lovelier !

After a wonderful animal experience at West house farm we visited Fika cafe for a light lunch, coffee and cake. Please try the savoury summer tart you won’t be disappointed, all home grown vegetables in the ingredients, absolutely delicious served with fresh slaw and salad. Great choice of treats which we all enjoyed with a great coffee, thank you Hannah and staff we will see you again soon.

It’s a rare occasion, that I can feel relaxed bringing my kids to a cafe. Fika is the only place I feel they are welcomed. Plus they enjoy having a delicious treat. Hannah and the team are super friendly. We find locally sourced food very important, therefore feel the price matches perfectly to what Fika is trying to achieve. Quality and with ethical standards, which I feel is missing with other businesses. Keep up the great work. :)

Lovely little cafe with a friendly owner. Great coffee served in a large mug. I had ‘the beast’ which was delicious and made with local ingredients. My partner had the soup.

I've been here twice in the past week because I'm so impressed. A little cafe set in a beautiful location with great coffee and the cakes are outstanding! All freshly baked. I brought my niece today, and after we had a coffee, we paid £1 for some feed and went to visit the goats - all on the same premises. I'll be spreading the word about this place and the lovely staff. Thank you:)
